![]() ![]() But my wonderful agent Rebecca Podos didn’t give up on the book, and we sold in July, after being on sub for seven-ish months, which consisted of an R&R (revise and resubmit). Sub was hard, like months long without any reprieve hard. Now to talk a little about my journey to a book deal. I learned to cook from scratch, go out less and eat-in more. Pandemic changed my life, just like so many others. And when I finished it and was finally ready to bring my book baby into the world, the pandemic happened. ![]() When I started writing, life was different. Yeah, thirteen-year-old me would be super excited if she knew that Sana will have her book published. Reader, that book, predictably went nowhere! But, I did keep my protagonist name from that book in my debut “The Mis-Arrangement of Sana Saeed” this year. I wrote my first book when I was in middle school and an Austen fan growing up in a small town in India, I had big dreams of being the youngest writer ever. Who am !?! And why would you want to read about me? I’m an engineer by profession, a writer by heart, and a tree-hugger by choice. ![]()
